New Albany Athletics is proud to announce the appointment of Alex Finy as the next Head Boys Soccer Coach (pending BOE approval).

Coach Finy brings 15 years of coaching experience and a strong presence within the central Ohio soccer community. He currently serves as Pre-Elite Director at Kings Hammer New Albany and is the Head Trainer and Owner of AF Soccer Training. He also previously served as an Assistant Coach at Ohio Dominican University. Coach Finy has extensive experience developing players at both the club and collegiate levels.

Throughout the interview process, Coach Finy stood out for his clear vision for program development, his commitment to building meaningful relationships with student-athletes, and his passion for competitive excellence. He demonstrated a deep understanding of what it takes to sustain success while continuing to elevate standards both on and off the field.

“We are excited to welcome Alex to lead our boys soccer program,” said Athletic Director Richie Wildenhaus. “His experience, energy, and commitment to player development align perfectly with the expectations and traditions of our program. Most importantly, he understands that building strong relationships and developing young men of character and outstanding sportsmanship remain at the center of our work.”

Coach Finy will begin meeting with players and families in the coming weeks as preparations get underway for the upcoming season.
