The New Albany Department of Athletics is proud to announce the return of Elaina Enich as the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach. A proud New Albany alum, Enich brings a wealth of experience, passion, and a championship pedigree back to the Eagles sideline.
Enich played collegiate lacrosse at the University of Cincinnati before beginning her coaching career at her alma mater. From 2020–2023, she led the Eagles with outstanding success, highlighted by guiding the team to a State Championship in 2022. As Head Coach of the Eagles, Enich amassed a win/loss record of 57-12.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Enich back to the program,” said Athletic Director Richie Wildenhaus. “Her deep connection to New Albany, commitment to developing student-athletes, and proven track record of success make her an outstanding leader for our girls lacrosse program. We are confident the program will thrive under her guidance.”
Enich expressed her excitement about rejoining the program she once led to the top of the state. “New Albany lacrosse has always been close to my heart,” she said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to return, work with such talented student-athletes, and build on the tradition of excellence this program has.”
The Eagles look forward to a strong future under Coach Enich’s leadership as they prepare for the upcoming season.
